or with individuals as sureties upon said bonds, to be approved
by the County Commissioners of said county, with the con-
dition that if the above bounden .......................

shall well and faithfully execute his office, and shall account
for and pay to the said County Commissioners the several
sums of money received by him for or on account of taxes
placed in his hands for collection, or for which he may be
answerable, when and at the times required by law, then this
obligation to be void, else to be and remain in full force and
virtue in law; and such collector shall also give a separate
bond to the State of Maryland in a penalty of fifty thousand
($50, 000) dollars, with a corporate surety to be approved by
the Governor, with the condition that if the above bounden

his office, and shall account for to the Comptroller and pay to
the Treasurer of the State, the several sums of money which
he shall receive for the State, or be answerable for by law,
at such times as the law shall direct, then the said obligation
to be void, otherwise to remain in full force and effect.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the im-
mediate preservation of the public health and safety, and being
passed upon a yea and nay vote, supported by three-fifths of
all the members elected to each of the two Houses of the
General Assembly, the same shall take effect from the date of
its passage.

CHAPTER 339.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 39
of Article 101 of the Annotated Code of the Public General
Laws of Maryland, Edition of 1924, title "Workmen's Com-
pensation, " sub-title "Claims and Compensation; Benefits, "
limiting the time within which claims for compensation may
be filed by an employee.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 39 of Article 101 of the Annotated
Code of the Public General Laws of Maryland, Edition of
