ministrators shall be liable to actions for damages to which
their testator or intestate would have been liable, in cases of
death caused by wrongful act, neglect or default, provided
such actions be commenced within one year after the death of
their testator or intestate.

CHAPTER 296.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
114 of Article 10 of the Code of Public Local Laws, title
"Dorchester County, " sub-title "County Commissioners,.
County Treasurer and Collectors, " as repealed and re-
enacted by Chapter 834 of the Acts of 1914 of the General
Assembly of Maryland.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 114 of Article 10 of the Code of Pub-
lic Local Laws, title "Dorchester County, " sub-title "County
Commissioners, County Treasurer and Collectors, " as repealed
and re-enacted by Chapter 834 of the Acts of 1914, of the
General Assembly of Maryland, be and the same is hereby re-
pealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

114. On the first day of January succeeding the levy, taxes
shall be deemed to be in arrears; and interest shall be charged
and collected from the first day of September following such
levy, the day whereon they become due and payable, but no
interest shall be charged if the entire taxes owed, in any year
by any taxpayer shall be paid on or before the day when the
same become due and in arrears. And the County Treasurer
shall cause to be delivered or mailed to each and every delin-
quent taxpayer between the first day of April, and the 30th
day of April in each year an account of his assessment, and
the taxes and interest thereon, with a notice of warning to such
delinquent thereto attached that, unless payment be made in
full on or before the 1st day of July next, the same will be
collected by process of law; and if on the said first day of July
next the said taxes and interest are unpaid, he shall imme-
diately thereafter make up a list of all delinquents assessed with
real estate, giving the name of the persons assessed, with a brief
