1904, from the survey then made, saving and excepting, how-
ever, all that part of Sykesville, as contained within the above
metes and bounds, which lies on the south side of. the center of
the channel of the Patapsco River and which is situated in
Howard County, which portion so excepted shall no longer be or
constitute a part of the town of Sykesville.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That Sections 299 to 351,
both inclusive, of Article 14 of the Annotated Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland, title "Howard County, " sub-title
"Sykesville, " be and the same are hereby repealed. "
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from June 1, 1931.

CHAPTER 280.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections
490, 491, 495, 496, 498, 499, 502 and 503 of Article 2 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edi-
tion), title "Anne Arundel County, " sub-title "Treasurer, "
and to add two new sections to said Article, to come in after
Section 496, and to be known as Sections 496A and 496B7
5 relating to the collection of taxes in said county, changing
the date of the fiscal year, regulating the procedure for
disposing of tax sale property acquired by Anne Arundel
County, prescribing for the appointment and pay of clerks to
the Treasurer, and for other purposes relating to the tax
system of said county.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Sections 490, 491, 495, 496, 499, 502 and 503
of Article 2 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), title "Anne Arundel County, " sub-title
"Treasurer, " be and the same are hereby repealed and re-
enacted, with amendments, and that two new sections be added
to said Article to come in after Section 496 and to be desig-
nated as Sections 496A and 496B, and to read as follows:
490. The County Commissioners of said county shall make
their annual levy for State and county taxes between the 15th
