SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect on the 1st day of June, 1931.

CHAPTER 228.

AN ACT to authorize the Board of County Commissioners of
Montgomery County to pay to the veterinarian appointed by
said board to conduct tuberculin testing of cattle in Mont-
gomery County a sum not to exceed three thousand dollars
($3, 000. 00) and to levy for said sum against the taxable
property of the county.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Board of County Commissioners of Mont-
gomery County be and the said board is hereby authorized and
empowered to pay annually to the veterinarian appointed by
said board, for that purpose, a sum not to exceed three thou-
sand ($3, 000. 00) dollars, for the purpose of paying the com-
pensation and expenses of such veterinarian in conducting
tuberculin tests of cattle in Montgomery County.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That said board is here-
by authorized and empowered to include said sum of three
thousand ($3, 000. 00) dollars in each annual levy of taxes
against all the taxable property of Montgomery County.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1931.

521, 523, 538, 539, 540 and 554 of Article 17 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
