CHAPTER 215.
AN ACT to add a new section to Article 20 of the Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Somer-
set County, " sub-title "Oysters and Clams, " said new sec-
tion to be known as Section 246A, to follow immediately
after Section 246 of said Article; providing a season for the
tonging of oysters in Somerset County, regulating the taking
of oysters in the waters of Somerset County with rakes or
tongs.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new section be and is hereby added to Article
20 of the Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition),
title "Somerset County, " sub-title "Oysters and Clams, " said
new section to be known as Section 246A of said Article, and
to read as follows:
246A. Any resident of Somerset County desiring to catch
oysters with rakes and tongs for sale in any of the waters of
Somerset County shall first obtain by application to the Clerk
of the Circuit Court a license therefor, as provided in Article
72 of the Code of Public General LAWS OF MARYLAND. Said
license shall have effect from the 15th day of September in
the year in which it may have been obtained to the 15th day
of April, inclusive, next succeeding.
Any person violating the provisions of this Act shall be sub-
ject to the fine and penalties provided for in said Article 72.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That all laws and parts
of laws inconsistent with the provisions of this Act be and the
same are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistencies.
