bonds issued under the authority of this Act shall mature and
be redeemed, levy a tax upon the assessable property in said
county sufficient to pay the annual interest on said bonds out-
standing, and to redeem said bonds as they mature and become
due, said taxes to be collected as other taxes levied in said
county are collected.
SEC. 6. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the imme-
diate preservation of the public health and safety, and being
passed upon a yea and nay vote, supported by three-fifths of
all of the members of the two Houses of the General Assembly ?
the same shall take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 195.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 1
of Chapter 38 of the Laws of Maryland of 1900 as the said
section was repealed and re-enacted by Chapter 362 of the
Laws of Maryland of 1922 and by Chapter 291 of the Laws
of Maryland of 1929; the purpose of the amendments made
by this Act being to designate the official to be appointed
hereunder as the police justice of the town of Takoma Park;
to increase the salary of the office and fix the portions thereof
to be paid by Montgomery County and by the town of
Takoma Park, respectively; and to authorize and direct the
County Commissioners of Montgomery County to levy annu-
ally the amount necessary to pay the portion of the compen-
sation of the said police justice to be paid by Montgomery
County under the provisions of this Act.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 1 of Chapter 38 of the Laws of Mary-
land of 1900 as the said section was repealed and re-enacted by
Chapter 362 of the Laws of Maryland of 1922, and as re-
pealed and re-enacted by Chapter 291 of the Laws of Mary-
land of 1929, be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted
so as to read as follows:
