WHEREAS, A bridge across the Lower Potomac River at
approximately the Ludlow Ferry Route connecting Charles
County, Maryland, and King George County, Virginia; and
a bridge across the Choptank River would be of great benefit
and advantage to the people of this State; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, That the State Roads Commission, supplemented
by such other assistance, if any, as the Governor may deem
advisable, be, and it is hereby requested and directed to make
a survey of the practicability of a bridge across the Lower
Potomac River at approximately the Ludlow Ferry Route con-
necting Charles County, Maryland, with King George County,
Virginia, and also a bridge across the Choptank River; and
be it further
Resolved, That, if in the opinion of the said Commission
any person or persons, if any, associated with it in making
this investigation, that such a bridge or bridges should be
deemed practicable from an engineering and traffic standpoint,
then the said Commission, and such person or persons asso-
ciated with it are hereby requested and directed to report as
to the proper method of financing such a structure or struc-
tures and a proper location for the site; and be it further
Resolved, That said Commission report its findings to the
Governor as promptly as possible, in order that he may make
the same public to the people forthwith, and take such further
action as he may deem best for the interests of the State.
