other instrument used in violation of the provisions of this
section shall, together with the cargo of such vessel, boat or
craft, be condemned as forfeited to the State in proceedings, as
provided for the enforcement of forfeitures.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That all laws and parts
of laws inconsistent with the provisions of this Act be and the
same are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That the provisions of
this Act shall not take effect until a similar act becomes effec-
tive in the State of Virginia, whereupon the Governor of
Maryland shall issue a proclamation declaring the provisions
of this Act to be effective.
SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1931.

CHAPTER 518.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections
175B, 177A, 181 and 185 of Article 4 of the Public Local
Laws of Maryland, title "City of Baltimore, " sub-title
"Charter. "
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Sections 175B, 177A, 181 and 185 of Article
4 of the Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "City of Bal-
timore," sub-title "Charter," be and the same are hereby re-
pealed and re-enacted, with amendments, so as to read as
follows:
175B. The first meeting of the Commissioners to execute
an ordinance to open, extend, widen, straighten or close, in
whole or in part, any street, square, lane or alley shall be held
within three months after the passage of such ordinance, unless
within that time an ordinance shall be introduced to repeal the
same. It shall be the duty of said Commissioners to proceed
diligently thereafter in the further execution of such ordinance.
