You are hereby notified that suit has been filed against you

by......................., Plaintiff, in the............

Court, ................, State of Maryland, to recover dam-
ages for the wrongs set forth in the copy of the declaration
attached hereto; and that service of process against you has
been made by leaving a copy of such process in the hands of
the Secretary of the State of Maryland, or in his office; and
that you must plead to said declaration within sixty days from
the date of delivery noted upon your return receipt to this
letter, or else judgment by default may be entered against you.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1931.

CHAPTER 71.

AN ACT to enable and empower the Springfield Presbyterian
Church of Carroll County to deed to the Springfield Ceme-
tery Company portions of the land belonging to said church
in Carroll County; the land to be conveyed consisting of two
tracts of less than five acres in all.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Springfield Presbyterian Church of Car-
roll County, a body corporate and the trustees thereof be and
they are hereby enabled and empowered to convey to the Spring-
field Cemetery Company, a body corporate, two tracts of land
in Carroll County at or near Sykesville; one tract consisting
of four acres, more or less, and adjoining the lot used as the
church lot but not a part thereof, and the second of said tracts
being separated from the first tract merely by public road;
the first tract having been used for cemetery purposes and
various lot owners having right of burial therein; the power
and authority hereby intended to be granted being subject to
the condition that the Springfield Cemetery Company assume
the obligation to maintain the first of said tracts as a cemetery.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the imme-
diate preservation of the public health and safety, and being
