SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1931.

CHAPTER 69.

AN ACT to repeal Paragraph 3 of Chapter 52 of the Acts
of the General Assembly of Maryland, passed in the session
thereof which convened in the year 1797, entitled "An Act
to incorporate the German Evangelical Reformed Church
in the City of Baltimore, " and to re-enact the same with
amendments whereby the word "male" shall be stricken
therefrom.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Paragraph 3 of Chapter 52 of the Acts of the
General Assembly of Maryland, passed in the session thereof
which convened in the year 1797, entitled "An Act to incor-
porate the German Evangelical Reformed Church in the City
of Baltimore., " be and the same is hereby repealed and re-
enacted with amendments to read as follows:

3. That the members of the said church of the full age
of twenty-one years, may and shall meet on the first Mon-
day of January, next or within ten days thereafter, and on the
first Monday of January, or within ten days thereafter, in
every year after the passing of this Act, at their church, or at
such place within the City of Baltimore as may be appointed
by the elders and trustees for the time being, notice thereof
being given by the president on the Sunday preceding the day
of such meeting, and may and shall then and there elect, by
ballot, four of the most pious and discreet members of said
church, to serve as elders for one year, and until another elec-
tion is made in virtue of this Act, as also to elect four other
discreet members of their body as trustees, to serve for one
year, and until another election shall be made in virtue of this
Act.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1931.
