It shall be unlawful to catch or attempt to catch aforesaid
fish, except eels, by any contrivance other than rod, hook and
line, held by the hand.

It shall be unlawful to catch eels by any contrivance except
by use of slat basket commonly known as Chesapeake Bay eel
pot, and except as provided above.

It shall be lawful, however, to catch such fish as permitted
during open season by use of dip net in the waters of the Sus-
quehanna River between Hog Back Shoals and the mouth of
Deer Creek; except that nothing herein contained shall be con-
strued to prohibit any person who has secured a resident
angler's license to catch by use of dip nets suckers, catfish,
carp, eels and gudgeons in the waters of Washington County
(except within 100 feet below any dam) between February
15th and April 15th, both dates inclusive.

The open fishing seasons in the waters of this State, above
a point where the tide ebbs and flows, including ponds, lakes,
canals, and the Conowingo Pool, for the catching of fish desig-
nated in this section, shall be as follows, viz:

Trout (Brook, Brown and Rainbow)—April 1st to June
30th, except in the Youghiogheny River below Swallow Falls
in Garrett County, the open season on Rainbow trout shall be
July 1st to November 30th.

Bass (Large and Small Mouth)—July 1st to November
30th.

Rock or Striped Bass—June 1st to November 30th.

Susquehanna Salmon—June 1st to November 30th,

Suckers, Catfish, Carp, Eeels and Gudgeon—February 1st
to November 30th.

All other species of game or fresh water fish, July 1st to
November 30th.

All dates mentioned above are inclusive.

The open season on fishing in Deep Creek Lake shall be as
provided in Section 83 of this Article.

It shall be unlawful for any person to take, catch or have in
possession in any one day more than ten each of trout or bass
of any specie, Any bass or trout caught and returned to the
waters shall be considered for the purpose of this section as
having been either taken, caught or had in possession.

If any person is found in or about any waters designated in
this section with a gig or gig iron and a light, or with nets or
seines, fish pots or other fishing rigs other than. permitted in
this section, it shall be deemed prima facie evidence that same
