CHAPTER 157.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, sub-
sections (3) and (4) of Section 3 of Article 2B of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1935 Supplement),
title "Alcoholic Beverages, " sub-title "Classes of Li-
censes, " relating to the classes of licenses which may be
issued in Howard County, and prescribing the conditions
under which they may be issued and the fees therefor.

CHAPTER 158.

AN ACT to authorize and empower the County Commis-
sioners of Somerset County to purchase the People's
Bank Building in the Town of Princess Anne.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the County Commissioners of Somerset
County be and they are hereby authorized to purchase the
People's Bank Building in the Town of Princess Anne on
such terms and conditions as said Commissioners may de-
termine, and to levy taxes to pay for the same, and when
purchased to use said building for such purpose or pur-
poses as they may determine.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is
hereby declared to be an emergency law and necessary for
the immediate preservation of the public health and safety,
and having been passed upon by a yea and nay vote, sup-
ported by three-fifths of all the members elected to each of
the two Houses of the General Assembly, the same shall
take effect from the date of its passage.
