construction of such project; providing for the enforce-
ment thereof and suspending inconsistent provisions of
all other laws.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That eleven (11) new sections be and the same
are hereby added to Article 5 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Calvert County, "
sub-title "Chesapeake Beach, " said new sections to be
known as Sections 64AA, 64B, 64C, 64D, 64E, 64F, 64G,
64H, 64-1, 64J and 64K and to follow immediately after
Section 64A of said Article, and to read as follows:

64AA. The following terms whenever used or referred
to in this Act shall have the following meaning unless a
different meaning appears from the context:

(a) The term "municipality" shall mean the Commis-
sioners of Chesapeake Beach, ^ municipal corporation of
the State of Maryland existing under and by virtue of
Sections 2. 7 to 64, both inclusive of Article 5 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland, 1930 Edition.

(b) The term "governing body" shall mean the Com-
missioners of Chesapeake Beach provided for in Section
29 of said Article 5.

(c) The term "bonds" shall mean bonds, interim cer-
tificates or other obligations of the municipality author-
ized by its governing body pursuant to this Act.

(d) The term "law" shall mean any Act or statute,
general, special or local of this State, and shall include
without being limited to the Charter of the Commissioners
of Chesapeake Beach.

(e) The term "public works project" shall mean any
work or undertaking not prohibited by the Constitution of
Maryland including but not limited to a bulkhead to be
constructed along the shore line of the Chesapeake Bay
in the municipality in order to prevent erosion, together
with a backfill and the necessary or desirable drainage
structures and facilities in connection therewith.

(f) The term "to construct" or "construction" shall in-
clude building, constructing, reconstruction, erecting, re-
placing, extending, repairing, bettering, equipping, develop-
ing, embellishing and improving or otherwise acquiring
the benefits of the expenditure of moneys in respect of a
public works project.
