CHAPTER 137.
AN ACT to add a new section to Article 39 of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1935 Supplement), title "Fish
and Fisheries, " sub-title "Crabs, " said. new section to
be known as Section 98A and to follow immediately
after Section 98 of said Article, authorizing the Conser-
vation Commission to prohibit the taking of crabs dur-
ing the month of November, 1936.
WHEREAS, On account of the severity of the past season
it may be deemed desirable to limit the taking of crabs
during the year 1936 for conservation purposes; therefore
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new section be and it is hereby added
to Article 39 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1935
Supplement), title "Fish and Fisheries, " sub-title "Crabs, "
said new section to be known as Section 98A, to follow im-
mediately after Section 98 of said Article, and to read as
follows:
98A. The Conservation Commission shall have the
power and authority, in its discretion, to prohibit the tak-
ing of crabs in any of the waters of Maryland during
the month of November, 1936.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1936.

CHAPTER 138.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sec-
tion 23 of Article 48 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1935 Supplement), title "Inspections, " sub-title "To-
bacco, " relating to claims for unsound or damaged
tobacco.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 23 of Article 4§ of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1935 Supplement), title "Inspections, "
