ing between and outside tracks and otherwise; to require
and compel all lines of railway in any one street to run on
and use one and the same track, and to keep in repair the
bridges and crossings through which or over which their
cars run;
(11) To prescribe fines, penalties and forfeitures for
the violation of their ordinances, including the committal
of offenders to the Montgomery county jail, until the same
with costs are paid.
434. The Town of Garrett Park is hereby authorized
and empowered to purchase any property within its cor-
porate limits offered for sale for the payment of taxes;
provided it shall not bid a sum greater than the amount
for which it was advertised and so offered and to sell and
convey, lease or otherwise dispose of the same as in the
judgment and discretion of the Council shall be deemed for
the best interest of the town.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That all laws or parts
of laws inconsistent with the provisions of this Act are
hereby suspended or repealed in so far as they relate to the
Town of Garrett Park, and the provisions of Section 434
shall apply to all tax titles now held or hereafter acquired
by the town of Garrett Park under the powers granted in
said Section 434 of its charter, otherwise this Act to be-
come effective from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 131.
AN ACT to authorize the Mayor and City Council of Cum-
berland, a municipal corporation of the State of Mary-
land, to issue bonds to the aggregate amount of Five
Hundred Thousand Dollars ($500, 000. 00), bearing in-
terest at the rate of not more than four percentum (4%)
per annum, for the purpose of providing funds for the
repair, replacement and improvement of public property
within the corporate limits of the City of Cumberland,
damaged or destroyed by flood, to the extent that said
Mayor and City Council of Cumberland may, in its dis-
cretion, deem necessary or proper, and for all purposes
