viction thereof, be fined not less than Twenty-five Dollars
($25.00) nor more than One Hundred Dollars ($100.00)
for each such violation, the said fines to be paid into the
County Treasury and be used for the general purposes of
said County.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is
hereby declared to be an emergency law and necessary for
the immediate preservation of the public health and safety,
and having been passed upon by a yea and nay vote, sup-
ported by three-fifths of all of the members elected to each
of the two Houses of the General Assembly, the same shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 8.
AN ACT to add a new section to Article 65 of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland, title "Militia," said new section
to be known as Section 17A and to follow immediate-
ly after Section 17 of said Article, exempting any
general officer from the age limitation prescribed in Sec-
tions 5, 17, and 19, and providing that any general com-
manding a unit of the National Guard or organized
militia may, with the approval of the Governor as Com-
mander-in-chief thereof, continue to hold such position
until he reaches the age of sixty-nine years.

CHAPTER 9.
AN ACT to repeal Sections 197 to 218, inclusive of Article
18 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930
Edition), title "Queen Anne's County," sub-title "County
Treasurer," and enact in lieu thereof twenty-two new sec-
tions to be known as Sections 197 to 218, inclusive, of
said Article, relating to the duties of the County Treas-
urer of Queen Anne's County and the collection of taxes.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Sections 197 to 218, inclusive, of Article 18
of the Code of Public Local Laws (1930 Edition), title
