and having been passed by a yea and nay vote supported by
three-fifths of all the members elected to each of the two
Houses of the General Assembly, the same shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 34.
AN ACT to repeal Sections 8 and 9 of Article 9 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Charles County, " sub-title "Almshouse, " said sections
relating to the payment of out pensions.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Sections 8 and 9 of Article 9 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Charles County, " sub-title "Almshouse, " be and they are
hereby repealed.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is
hereby declared to be an emergency law and necessary for
the immediate preservation of the public health and safety,
and having been passed upon by a yea and nay vote, sup-
ported by three-fifths of all of the members elected to each
of the two Houses of the General Assembly, the same shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 35.
AN ACT to authorize, empower and direct the Town Com-
missioners of La Plata, to issue bonds not exceeding Ten
Thousand ($10, 000. 00) Dollars, for the purpose of drill-
ing an additional well so that the water supply of the
town of La Plata may be increased and to provide the
necessary facilities for pumping such additional water
supply, to provide for the payment of such bonds with
interest thereon, and providing for the method of sale
of said bonds.
