AFTER RECESS.

At 2:15 o'clock P. M. the Senate resumed its session.
Present at roll call were the following Senators:

REPORTS OF STANDING COMMITTEES.

Senator Sothoron moved that the rules be suspended in order to
report the following bill and two-thirds of the Senators-elect, voting
in the affirmative, the rules were suspended by yeas and nays as
follows:

NEGATIVE—NONE.

The rules being suspended, Senator Sothoron, for the Committee
on Finance, reported favorably:

Senate Bill No. 1—By the President:

Subject: "TO AUTHORIZE THE CREATION OF A STATE
DEBT IN THE AMOUNT OF $50,000,000.00 FOR FINANCING
THE CONSTRUCTION OF PUBLIC SCHOOL BUILDINGS AND
FACILITIES BY EACH OF THE COUNTIES OF THE STATE
AND BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF BALTIMORE."

Favorable report adopted.

The bill was read the second time and ordered printed for its
third reading.

Upon further motion of Senator Sothoron, and two-thirds of all
the Senators-elect voting in the affirmative, the rules were suspended
by yeas and nays as follows, and the bill put on third reading and
final passage.
