known as Sub-section (b-1) and to follow immediately
after Sub-section (b) of said Section 7, relating to the size
of boats used for dredging oysters in Somerset County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land,, That a new sub-section be and it is hereby added to
Section 7 of Article 72 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1947 Supplement), title "Oysters and Clams", said new sub-
section to be known as Sub-section (b-1), to follow im-
mediately after Sub-section (b) of said Section 7, and to
read as follows:
(b-1) (Size of Boat for Dredging in Somerset County
Waters.) It shall be unlawful to use any boat exceeding ten
and one-half gross tons, reckoned by rules of custom-house
measurement, to take or catch oysters by dredge in the
waters of Somerset County.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency measure and necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public health and safety, and
having been passed by a yea and nay vote, supported by
three-fifths of all of the members elected to each of the two
Houses of the General Assembly of Maryland, the same shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

(Senate Bill 6)
AN ACT to authorize and empower the County Commis-
sioners of Calvert County to borrow upon the faith and
credit of said County the sum of Three Hundred Thousand
Dollars ($300,000.) at a rate of interest not to exceed
three per cent. (3%) per annum, and to issue notes and/or
bonds therefor, for the purpose of erecting a new consoli-
dated elementary school for the North Beach-Chesapeake
Beach-Randall Cliff area in the Third Election District of
Calvert County, altering and remodeling the Fairview Con-
solidated Elementary School in said Election District, and
expanding the facilities and buildings at Brooks High
School in Prince Frederick.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the County Commissioners of Calvert County be
