FIRST READING SENATE BILLS.
The Secretary of the Senate appeared and delivered the following
message:

Senate Bill No. 2—By Senator Lindsay (President):
A bill entitled "An Act making emergency appropriations from
the general surplus for the support of the State government and
other related purposes for the remainder of the fiscal year ending
June 30, 1947."
Which was read the first time and referred to the Committee on
Ways and Means.
On motion of Mr. Luber, duly seconded, and two-thirds of all the
members-elect, voting in the affirmative, the rules were suspended
by yeas and nays as follows, for the purpose of reporting on
Senate Bill No. 2.
