STATE OF MARYLAND, TO WIT :
This being the day appointed by the Governor for a Special
Session of the General Assembly, at 11 o'clock A. M., Mr. John A.
Menton, Chief Clerk of the House of Delegates during the regular
session of January 1945, called the House to order and, after- the
offering of a prayer by the Honorable Jonathan Sleeman, of Alle-
gany County, the Reading Clerk called the roll and the following
