5—(a) For improving and widening Commerce
Street in the Town of Rockville, Montgomery
County, Maryland, to the extent of sixteen
(16) additional feet, —Beginning at a point
on Court Street sixteen (16) feet south of a
certain metal plug located at or near the north-
east corner of the property of the Farmers'
Banking and Trust Company, running thence
in a westerly direction and paralleling the
northern boundary line of the said property,
the property of one Oscar W. Anderson, and
the property of the Rockville Masonic Hall
and Library Association, so as to provide an
additional sixteen (16) feet throughout the
entire distance from the said point of begin-
ning extending to a point on Washington
Street, at which latter point the said Com-
merce Street will then intersect with the said
Washington Street..................... 50, 000. 00
(b) The County Commissioners in estab-
lishing the additional width of Commerce
Street as hereinbefore described, shall act in
conjunction and agreement with the Mayor
and Council of the said Town of Rockville.
(c) If the said County Commissioners are
unable to agree with the owner or owners of
any parcel of land, required in connection
with the improvement and widening of the
said Commerce Street in the manner herein--
fore described, as to the price to be paid for
any land so required, then the said County
Commissioners shall be and they are hereby ;
authorized and empowered to condemn such
land, together with the buildings and improve-
ments thereon, if any, as they may deem
necessary for the purpose aforesaid for the
use and benefit of said county and said Town
of Rockville, Montgomery County, Mary-
land, in the way and manner provided by the
laws of the State of Maryland.
