sible, and who shall give such bond, conditioned for the faith-
ful performance of the duties imposed upon him, as the Treas-
urer may require; the said Assistant Treasurer to be paid
eight hundred dollars ($800. 00) by the county and such
other compensation, if any, as the Treasurer may contract
to pay out of his own salary or commissions, and the said
sum of eight hundred dollars ($800. 00) shall be levied for
the use of the said Assistant Treasurer at the same time as
hereinafter provided for the levy of the salary of the Treasurer.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1929.

CHAPTER 330.

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 1 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Allegany County, "
sub-title "Justices of the Peace and Constables, " as the same
was enacted by 'Chapter 297 of the Acts of 1927, said new
section to be known as Section 179K1, and to follow imme-
diately after Section 179K in said Act, said new section
being designed to regulate the return of and into the People's
Court certain moneys collected by Constables and other
officers and providing for a penalty for the failure so to do.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland,
That a new section be, and the same is, hereby
added to Article 1 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Allegany
County, as the same were enacted by Chapter 297 of the
Acts of 1927, said section to be known as Section 179K1, and
to follow immediately after Section 179K in said Act.

179K1. Whenever any writ of attachment, execution, re-
plevin, distraint, distraint with warrant to follow, or other
writ, shall be issued by either of the Justices of said People's
Court, or is sworn to before either of them, and directed to a
Constable or any other officer commanding him to seize, take
into execution, levy upon, or make known upon any personal
property, goods, wares, merchandise, credits or chattels, and
the same are seized, levied upon, taken, sold, settled for, super-
