168E. The County Commissioners of Montgomery County
are authorized to pay each prisoner employed under the pro-
visions of this Act at the end of his term at the rate of seventy-
five cents ($. 75) per day for the actual days worked on public
roads.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1929.

CHAPTER 302.
AN ACT to authorize and empower the County Commissioners
of Anne Arundel County to borrow upon the faith and credit
of said county a sum not to exceed one hundred thousand
dollars* ($100, 000) and to issue and sell coupon bonds there-
for, the proceeds thereof to be used and expended by said
County Commissioners of Anne Arundel County for the
purpose of replacing public highway bridges over the fol-
lowing streams of water in the said county: Weems Creek,
Rock Hole Creek, Tracey's Landing Creek, and providing
for the payment of said bonds and the interest thereon by a
general tax levy on all property in the county.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the County Commissioners of Anne Arundel
County are hereby authorized and empowered to borrow money
on the faith and credit of said county and to issue and sell
coupon bonds therefor for an amount not to exceed one hun-
dred thousand dollars in such denominations and to bear such
rate of interest not exceeding five per centum (5%) per annum,
as may be determined by the said County Commissioners of
Anne Arundel County, said bonds shall be dated as of the
first day of.......... of the year in which the same shall
be issued as hereinafter provided, and the interest thereon
shall be payable semi-annually on the first clays of May and
November in each and every year until said bonds, are paid;
said bonds when issued shall be signed by the President of the
said County Commissioners of Anne Arundel County and
shall be countersigned by the Clerk to said Commissioners;
