and Fifty Dollars per annum to be paid monthly from the
funds herein provided. The total amount granted any man
and wife for one year shall not exceed Two Hundred and
Fifty Dollars, unless such a man or wife shall not have been
blind at the time of their marriage, or unless they shall have
been married prior to the passage of this Act.

(b) Subject to the limitations in this Act any person other-
wise qualified to receive the relief who has an income of less
than three hundred dollars: a year shall be granted a relief of
not less than one hundred and fifty dollars a, year.

(c) The relief herein provided shall be in place of all other
relief of a public nature.

(d) No blind person shall be deemed a pauper by reason of
receiving relief under this Act.

20. The Maryland Workshop for the Blind shall annually
make examination as to qualification of persons upon the list
of recipients for relief under this Act, recommend an in-
crease or decrease of the amount within the limit herein pre-
scribed. If not satisfied that any person on the list is quali-
fied to draw his money, said Board shall recommend to re-
move such person from the list; and the Board of the Mary-
land Workshop for the Blind may, at any time during the
year, inquire into the qualifications and examine as to the
disability and need of any persons theretofore placed on such
blind list. In case said Board finds that any person is not
qualified to draw further relief, or that such disability has been
removed, in whole or in part, then said Board of the Maryland
Workshop for the Blind may at any time thereafter during
such year modify or change the amount theretofore found
necessary for such relief, or remove such person from the
list qualified to draw money for relief, and said Board shall
forthwith notify the County Auditor of this action taken.

21. The Maryland Workshop for the Blind may appoint a
trustee to take charge of the expenditure of the relief granted
any applicant when, in their opinion, such trustee is desirable.
Such trustee shall serve without pay and shall be subject to
such rules and regulations as the Maryland Workshop for the
Blind shall prescribe.

22. If, in the examination by the Maryland Workshop for
the Blind of the qualifications of any person filing a claim
for relief, or having a place on the list of those receiving bene-
