immediately after Section 8 of said Article, and to read as

follows:

8A. All bonds or certificates of indebtedness heretofore or
hereafter issued by the University of Maryland Athletic
Board, Incorporated, shall be exempt from State, county and
municipal taxation; provided that the proceeds derived from
the sale thereof be used exclusively for the improvement of
land or buildings owned by the State of Maryland, and used
in connection with the University of Maryland.

Approved April 11, 1929.


CHAPTER 229.

AN ACT to authorize and direct the State Roads Commission
to construct a gravel road from the Confederate Monument
(on the road leading from Leonardtown to Point Lookout)
to Point Lookout and a similar road from said Confederate
Monument to Scotland Beach, in Saint Mary's County,
and to pay for the same out of any surplus funds from the
motor vehicle registration fees.

(Vetoed. )


CHAPTER 230.

AN ACT to create a new Election District in Allegany Coun-
ty to be known as "Election District 31. "

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland,
That a new Election District is hereby created in
Allegany County, to be known as "Election District 31, " the
same being taken from Election District No. 8, it now being
known as Precinct 3 in said Election District No. 8; said
Election District No. 31 shall be described by the following
metes and bounds:

Beginning at the mouth of Clay Lick Run on the Potomac
River, about one-fourth of a mile northeast of Dawson Sta-
tion, and running thence up the Potomac River southerly and
