shall not be exercised or the bonds issued, but the said author-
ities, however, shall have the power to submit the question
at succeeding regular municipal elections until a majority of
the votes cast on said question shall be "For Water Supply
Bonds, " at which time they shall exercise the power conferred
by this Act, and issue the bonds authorized by said Act.

SEC. 18. And be it further enacted, That whenever the
bonds or any part of the bonds authorized by this Act are sold,
the commissioners of Sharptown may levy upon the assessable
property of Sharptown annually, so long as any of said bonds
are outstanding, such sum of money in addition to the tax rate
authorized by Section 1 of Article 171, of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland, title "Wicomico County, " sub-title
"Sharptown," as may be necessary to pay the interest on the
said bonds and to retire the said bonds at maturity.

SEC. 19. And be it further enacted, That all Acts and
parts of Acts inconsistent with the provisions of this Act be
and the same are hereby repealed to the extent of their incon-
sistency, provided that nothing herein contained shall be taken
as repealing any part of Chapter 810 of the Acts of the Mary-
land Legislature of 1914, nor as restricting any control which
the State Board of Health of Maryland is empowered to exer-
cise.

SEC. 20. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
become effective on and after June 1, 1929.

CHAPTER 28.

AN ACT to authorize the Mayor and Council of Brunswick,
in Frederick County, Maryland, to issue and sell bonds to
an amount of money not exceeding twenty thousand ($20, -
000. 00) dollars, for the purpose of street extensions and for
permanent improvements of existing streets, squares, alleys
and City Park in said town and to refer the question of the
bond issue to the qualified voters of said town.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland,
