year 1929-30 and 1930-31, nor more than Fifteen Thousand
Dollars ($15, 000) for any year thereafter.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1929.

CHAPTER 202.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 241
of Article 77 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1924 Edi-
tion), title "Public Education, " sub-title "Free Scholar-
ships, " increasing the length of time for which free scholar-
ships are awarded to St. Mary's Female Seminary, St. Mary's
County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 241 of Article 77 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1924 Edition), title "Public Education, " sub-
title "Free Scholarships, " be and it is hereby repealed and re-
enacted with amendments to read as follows:
241. One scholar shall be taken from each of the counties
and each of the six legislative districts of Baltimore City, and
shall be selected by the examiner and boards of county school
commissioners of the respective counties, and the board of com-
missioners of public schools in Baltimore City, for the six
legislative districts of said city respectively, without recourse
to a competitive examination, so that the most worthy and chari-
table may be selected; each pupil as selected to remain for the
space of four years, if not dismissed by the trustees.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1929.

Anne Arundel County to borrow money upon the credit of
said County to pay for the purchasing of sites and for the
