CHAPTER 201.
AN ACT to add seven new sections to Article 77 of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1924 Edition), title "Public Edu-
cation, " said new sections to be under sub-title "Vocational
Rehabilitation, " to be known as Sections 265 to 271, inclu-
sive, and to follow immediately after Section 264 of said
Article, providing for the vocational rehabilitation and place-
ment of physically disabled persons.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That seven new sections be and the same are hereby
added to Article 77 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1924
Edition), title "Public Education, " said new sections to be
under sub-title "Vocational Rehabilitation, " to be known as
Sections 265 to 271, inclusive, to follow immediately after
Section 264 of said Article, and to read as follows:
VOCATIONAL REHABILITATION.
265. In order to provide for the vocational rehabilitation
of physically disabled persons, there is hereby established,
under the direction and control of the State Board of Educa-
tion, a division for the vocational rehabilitation and placement
in remunerative employment of persons whose capacity to earn
a living is or has been destroyed or impaired.
266. For the purpose of this sub-title the term "physically
disabled persons" means any person who, by reason of a phy-
sical defect or infirmity, whether congenital or acquired by ac-
cident, injury; or disease is, or may be expected to be, totally
or partially incapacitated for remunerative occupation; the
term "vocational rehabilitation" means the rendering of a dis-
abled person fit to engage in a remunerative occupation.
To be eligible for rehabilitation a person must be vocation-
ally handicapped, and must be susceptible of rehabilitation.
267. The State Board of Education is hereby authorized
and directed (1) to disburse all funds, provided for the re-
habilitation of disabled persons; (2) to appoint and fix the
compensation of the personnel necessary to administer this sub-
title; (3) to vocationally rehabilitate, and place in remunera-
tive occupations persons eligible for the benefits of this sub-
title; (4) to make such rules and regulations as may be neces-
