SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1929.

CHAPTER 189.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 529
of the revised Code of Public Local Laws of Baltimore County
of 1929 compiled by T. Scott Offutt, increasing the Amount
of pay that may be deducted from each and every member of
said Police Department of Baltimore County for a special
fund for pensions.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 529 of Offutt's Code of Public Local Laws
of Baltimore County, Edition of 1929, be and the same is hereby
repealed and re-enacted with amendments so as to read as fol-
lows:
Section 529. The said special fund shall consist of:
1. All fines and forfeitures imposed by the County Commis-
sioners of Baltimore County upon any member or members of
the Police Department; and of
2. All rewards, gifts, testimonials and emoluments that may be
presented, paid or given to any member of the Police Depart-
ment on account of service except such as said Commissioners
allow said members to retain and also all gifts or benefits which
may be made to the said special fund or to the said County
Commissioners of Baltimore County;
3. And all monies, pay, compensation or salary or any part
thereof forfeited, deducted or withheld from any member or
members of the Police Department on account of absence for
any cause, lost time, sickness or other disability, physical or
moral.
