SEC. 10. And be it further enacted, That the Burgess shall
see that all ordinances are duly and faithfully executed and
he shall by virtue of his office have and exercise within the
limits of corporation all powers of a Justice of the Peace ex-
cept as to the recovery of small debts.

SEC. 11. And be it further enacted, That the Burgess and
Commissioners are hereby authorized to appoint a Bailiff to
enforce all ordinances, resolutions and by-laws passed by said
Burgess and Commissioners, and the Bailiff when appointed,
shall have all the powers and authority of a County Constable
while acting within the corporate limits of Woodsboro. The
Burgess and Commissioners may, from time to time, appoint
such other officers and employees as they shall think proper
for the efficient administration and good government of said
town, provided, however, that the Burgess or one of the Com-
missioners may act as Treasurer, Clerk, Bailiff or in any other
official capacity, and the salary of the Burgess and Commis-
sioners and all other officers of the corporation shall be fixed
by ordinances.

SEC. 12. And be it further enacted, That the Burgess and
Commissioners are hereby authorized and empowered to buy
electric current on. such terms as may be prescribed by ordi-
nances or motions passed by them.

SEC. 13. And be it further enacted, That the Burgess and
Commissioners are hereby authorized to pass ordinances to
regulate all shows, exhibitions and exhibits to be held and
conducted in said city and to exact and collect from any per-
son or persons who may desire to present such shows or ex-
hibits such license fee as the Burgess and Commissioners may
deem just and proper.

SEC. 14. And be it further enacted, That it shall be the
duty of the County Commissioners of Frederick County to
pay over annually to the Burgess and Commissioners of Woods-
boro one-fourth of the franchise tax the said County Commis-
sioners shall receive under the provisions of the Code of Pub-
lic General Laws of Maryland from every savings bank, in-
stitution or corporation organized for receiving deposits of
money and paying interest thereon located within the taxable
limits of Woodsboro and having its principal office therein.
