CHAPTER 73.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 2
of Chapter 224 of the Acts of 1920, entitled "An Act to
provide for the appointment of a 'Deputy County Treasurer
for Queen Anne's County, ' by the County Treasurer of
Queen Anne's -County and to provide for the payment of an
annual salary to such 'Deputy County Treasurer for Queen
Anne's County' out of the funds of said Queen Anne's Coun-
ty, " increasing the compensation of the Deputy County
Treasurer of Queen Anne's County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 2 of Chapter 224 of the Acts of 1920,
entitled "An Act to provide for the appointment of a 'Deputy
County Treasurer for Queen Anne's County' by the County
Treasurer of Queen Anne's County and to provide for the
payment of an annual salary to such 'Deputy County Treasurer
for Queen Anne's County' out of the funds of said Queen
Anne's County, " increasing the compensation of the Deputy
County Treasurer of Queen Anne's County, be and it is here-
by repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as
follows:

2. The "Deputy County Treasurer for Queen Anne's Coun-
ty" shall receive as compensation for his or her services an
annual salary of twelve hundred dollars to be paid in monthly
instalments of one hundred dollars each payable on the last day
of each month out of the funds of said Queen Anne's County
hereby directed to be levied annually for that purpose.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1929.

CHAPTER 74.

AN ACT to add twenty-one new sections to Article 65 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1924 Edition) title "Militia"
said new sections to be under sub-title "Veterans' Guardian-
ship, " to be known as Sections 56A to 56U, both inclusive,
