CHAPTER 423.

AN ACT to repeal Section 53 of Article 100 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1924 Edition), title "Work—Hours of,
in Factories, " sub-title "Employment of Minors, " said sec-
tion relating to appropriations for enforcement of law as to
employment of minors.

WHEREAS, Since the adoption of the Budget Amendment, sec-
tions' of the Code (providing for specific appropriations to the
several departments are useless and superfluous; therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land,
That Section 53 of Article 100 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1924 Edition), title "Work—Hours of, in Factories, "
sub-title "Employment of Minors, " be and it is hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1929.

Approved April 11, 1929.

CHAPTER 424.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 40
of Article 48-A of the Code of Public General Laws of
Maryland, title "Insurance, " sub-title "General Provisions, "
as enacted by Chapter 492 of the Acts of 1922, relating to
agents' license and miscellaneous fees,

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland,
That Section 40 of Article 48-A of the Code of
Public General Laws of Maryland, title "Insurance, " sub-title
"General Provisions, " as enacted by Chapter 492 of the Acts
of 1922, be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, so as to read as follows:

Section 40. Miscellaneous Fees. Every insurance com-
pany doing business in this State shall also pay the following
fees to the Insurance Commissioner:

(a) For filing the certified copy of charter, declaration of
organization or deed of settlement required by this Article to
