this Act, or of said regulations shall be deemed sufficient cause
in itself for the issuance of such injunction when applied for,
and no further cause need be alleged or sworn; and provided
further that the County Commissioners of Montgomery County
be and they are hereby authorized to exempt from the provi-
sions of this Act such town or towns or special taxing areas in
which the County Commissioners may determine that the
building regulations and the enforcement thereof are adequate
and equally effective as are the regulations passed by said
Commissioners under the provisions of this Act.
2. That the County Commissioners are hereby directed and
empowered to appoint or employ some suitable person as County
Building Inspector, who shall hold office at the pleasure of the
County Commissioners and shall be paid such sum or sums as
the County Commissioners or a majority of them shall deter-
mine. That the inspector of buildings appointed as afore-
said, shall have the supervision of the construction of all build-
ings erected in said district and shall see that the rules and
regulations of the County Commissioners relating to the con-
struction of said buildings shall be complied with, and he shall
perform such other duties as may be prescribed by the County
Commissioners aforesaid not inconsistent with this Act, pro-
vided, that any person or persons violating any of the rules
and regulations so promulgated by the County Commissioners
under the provisions of this Act shall be guilty of a misde-
meanor, and on conviction thereof in the Circuit Court or
Police Court for Montgomery County, shall be fined not more
than one hundred dollars; and the said County Commissioners
are hereby further authorized and empowered to appoint and
employ an assistant to the building inspector, who shall hold
office at the pleasure of the County Commissioners and shall be
paid such compensation as the County Commissioners shall
determine and who shall under the direction of the County
Building Inspector perform such duties as may be required
in enforcing the Building Code for Montgomery County.
3. That it shall be the duty of said inspector of buildings
to visit and inspect all theatres, hotels, public halls, churches,,
schoolhouses and buildings used for public assemblages and
all manufactories employing twenty-five or more persons, now
erected, or that may be hereafter erected, for the purpose of
ascertaining if said buildings have the proper means of exit
in case of fire or panic and if, on examination he shall deter-
