CHAPTER 368.

AN ACT to repeal Sections 18, 20, 20A, 23, 26, 28, 31, 33A,
38, 45 and 73 of Article 1A of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland, title "The Charter of the City of Cum-
berland/' as said Article was enacted by Chapter 96 of the
Acts of 1922 and to enact in lieu thereof eleven new sec-
tions to be known as Sections 18, 20, 20A, 23, 26, 28, 31,
33A, 38, 45 and 73 of said Article, amending the Charter
of the City of Cumberland so as to provide for a City
Manager and providing for the submission of this Act to
the qualified voters of said City for adoption or rejection.

CHAPTER 369.

AN ACT to add six new sections to Article 1 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Allegany County, "
sub-title "Justices of the Peace, " to be known as Sections
180A to 180F, inclusive, to follow Section 180 of said Arti-
cle, said sections relating to distraint for rent proceedings
and exempting certain interests in property therefrom under
certain conditions.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland,
That six new sections be and they are hereby added
to Article 1 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland,
title "Allegany County, " sub-title "Justices of the Peace, " said
new sections to be known as Sections 180A to 180F, to follow
immediately after Section 180 of said Article, and to read as
follows:

180A. All distraints for rent in Allegany County shall
only be issued by the Justice or Justices of the Peace for the
District in which the property for the rent of which the dis-
traint is issued is located, but said distraints shall be valid in
any part of said county in which goods subject to distraint for
said rent may be found.

180B. Every constable, bailiff or other person levying any
distraint in Allegany County shall, in the event of any sale
