279-F. Any person or persons, firm or corporation, disre-
garding such signs, posted as hereinbefore provided, and mak-
ing use of any road or roads in said County, contrary to such
notice, or who shall remove, mutilate or disfigure said sign or
signs, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and shall, upon con-
viction thereof before any magistrate having criminal juris-
diction in said County, or in the Circuit Court for said County,
be punished by a fine of not less than ten. dollars nor more
than one hundred dollars for the first offense, and by a fine of
not less than one hundred dollars nor more than two hundred
and fifty dollars for each subsequent offense, and to stand com-
mitted until the fine and costs of prosecution are paid, the
amount of the fine to be determined as nearly as may be in
accordance with the amount of damage done to the road in
each case. The entire proceeds of fines collected hereunder
shall be paid over to the County Commissioners of Dorchester
County and be devoted by them exclusively to the repair of
the roads in said County.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take

effect June 1, 1927.

CHAPTER 481.

AN ACT to authorize and empower the Board of County Com-
missioners of Montgomery County to borrow upon the faith
and credit of said County to the amount of One Hundred
Fifty Thousand Dollars ($150, 000. 00) and to issue and
sell bonds therefor, the proceeds thereof to be used by the
Board of Education of Montgomery County in constructing,
building, equipping and furnishing school gymnasia for the
Montgomery County High School at Rockville, for the Beth-
esda Chevy Chase High School and for the Silver Spring
Takoma High School.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Board of County Commissioners of Mont-
gomery County be and they are hereby authorized and em-
powered to issue serial coupon bonds on the faith and credit
of said county, to the amount of One Hundred Fifty Thousand
