or vessel before he issues any permit; and any person who shall
have any scoop, scrape or dredge, or any part thereof, on any
boat or vessel engaged in catching, buying or carrying seed
oysters or oysters measuring less than three inches from
hinge to mouth, and any owner or master of any boat
or vessel violating the provisions of this section by having
any scrape, scoop or dredge or any part thereof on any boat or
vessel engaged in taking, catching, buying or carrying seed
oysters shall be fined not less than two hundred and fifty dollars
nor more than five hundred dollars, and in addition thereto, the
boat or vessel so used with its cargo and equipment be forfeited
to, the State wherein such offender is convicted.

SECTION 2. And be it further enacted, That all laws or parts
of laws of the State of Maryland, general or local, inconsistent
with the provisions of this Act be and the same are hereby re-
pealed, to the extent of such inconsistency.

SECTION 3. And be it further enacted, That upon the taking
effect in the State of Virginia of the provisions described in
this Act, the Governor of Maryland shall issue his proclamation
declaring the provisions of this Act to be effective.

CHAPTER 477.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 4
of Chapter 250 of the Acts of 1924, incorporating the Im-
perial Life Insurance Company of Baltimore, and to ratify
and sanction two amendments to the Charter of said Corpo-
ration, one to change the name of the Imperial Life Insur-
ance Company to Fidelity Life Insurance Company of
America, and one to increase its authorized capital stock,
adopted under the Code of Public General Laws of Mary-
land.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 4, of Chapter 250 of the Acts of 1924, en
titled '' An Act to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Chap-
ter 233 of the Acts of 1922, Incorporating the Imperial Life
Insurance Company of Baltimore, " be and the same is hereby
repealed and reenacted, with amendments so as to read as fol-
lows: —
