780 LAWS OF MARYLAND. [CH. 426

Code of Public General Laws of Maryland; nor to fines, pen-
alties or forfeitures as contained in any ordinance of any in-
corporated town in Prince George's County, except that one-
half of all fines, penalties or forfeitures imposed by virtue of
the violation of any town ordinance of any incorporated town
of said County, whether imposed by the Police Justice or any
other Justice of the Peace, shall be paid over to the County
Commissioners for the use of Prince George's County.

SEC. 15. And be it further enacted, That the Police Jus-
tice shall prescribe rules and regulations governing the prac-
tice and procedure in his said Court, and shall prescribe the
form of writs, both civil and criminal, to be used therein.
The County Commissioners shall prepare proper return forms
for the several Justices of the Peace of said County other than
the Police Justice, and to be used by them in all cases origi-
nating before them, said forms to be in duplicate, and in all
cases where the alleged offense originated before any Justice
of the Peace other than the Police Justice, the said Justice of
the Peace shall transmit the papers and the recognizance and
the collateral as hereinbefore provided.

SEC. 16. And be it further enacted, That it is the intent
and purpose of this Act that the Police Justice herein created
shall have exclusive jurisdiction to hear, try and determine,
enter judgment and impose sentence in all cases in which he
is given jurisdiction under the provisions of this Act, and to
enlarge his civil jurisdiction to two hundred and fifty dollars
($250), and to limit and confine criminal jurisdiction to the
Police Justice except as in this Act provided, and that the sev-
eral Justices of the Peace of Prince George's County other
than the Police Justice shall have no criminal jurisdiction
except as herein specifically provided for, but the several Jus-
tices of the Peace of said County shall have jurisdiction to
hear, try and determine any violation of ordinances in any in-
corporated town in said County, except as herein provided, as
well as to hear, try and determine violations of ordinances of
any town that may be incorporated subsequent to the passage
of this Act,

SEC. 17. And be it further enacted, That all Acts or parts
of Acts of any Public General or Public Local Laws or town
ordinances inconsistent with the provisions of this Act, be, and
they are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
