CHAPTER 358.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 182
of Article 21 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland,
title "Talbot County, " sub-title "St. Michaels, " as enacted
by Chapter 105 of the Acts of 1880, and providing for a
referendum thereon.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 182 of Article 21 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland title "Talbot County, " sub-title "St.
Michaels, " as enacted by Chapter 105 of the Acts of 1880, be,
and the same is, hereby repealed and re-enacted with amend-
ments to read as follows:

SEC. 182. Each of said Commissioners shall receive a salary
of One Hundred Dollars a year, payable quarterly; the sal-
ary of the Treasurer, Clerk, Bailiff and other officers and em-
ployees of said town shall be fixed by the Commissioners of St.
Michaels.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That at the regular town
election to be held in April, 1928, there may be submitted to
the voters of the town of St. Michaels, in the discretion of the
Commissioners of said town, the question whether or not the
aforegoing provisions shall take effect, and upon the ballots
to be used at such town election, in case the Commissioners
decide to submit said question, there shall be printed or written
the words "Por Salary Changes" and "Against Salary
Changes, ". and if a majority of the votes cast upon said ques-
tion shall be "For Salary Changes, " then the provisions of the
aforegoing; section shall take effect; but if a majority of the
votes cast upon said questions shall be ''Against Salary
Changes, " or if said question be not submitted to the voters
of said town at such election in April, 1928, then this Act shall
be null and void and of no, effect.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1927.

CHAPTER 359.

AN ACT to provide for the construction of curbs, gutters,
roadways, sewers and sidewalks in Chestertown, Kent
County, Maryland, and to liquidate previous debt, and to
issue bonds to pay for the same, and to levy an annual tax
