had the records been correct, the Board of Trustees shall cor-
rect such error, and as far as practicable, shall adjust the pay-
ments in such a manner that the actuarial equivalent of the
benefit to which such member or beneficiary was correctly en-
titled shall be paid.
104. Limitation on Membership
No other provision of law in any other statute which provides
wholly or partly at the expense of the State of Maryland for
pensions or retirement benefits for teachers of the said State,
their widows, or other dependents, shall apply to members or
beneficiaries of the retirement system established by this sub-
title, their widows or other dependents,
105. Constitutionality
If any section or part of any section of this subtitle is de-
clared to be unconstitutional, the remainder of the subtitle shall
not thereby be invalidated. All provisions of the law incon-
sistent with the provisions of this subtitle are hereby repealed
to the extent of such inconsistency.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That Section 92 of Ar-
ticle 77 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, (1924 edition), be,
and it is hereby repealed as of the date the retirement system
created by this Act is established.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1927.

CHAPTER 345.
AN ACT to authorize the creation of a State debt in the aggre-
gate amount of four million, three hundred and seventy-five
thousand dollars ($4, 375, 000), the proceeds thereof to be
used for certain necessary building, construction and equip-
ment purposes of the State, and for acquiring certain land,
and providing generally for the issue and sale of certificates
of indebtedness evidencing such loan,
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Board of Public Works is hereby author-
ized and directed to issue a State loan, to be known as the
