District in said County for the purpose of establishing,
maintaining and operating, including payment of salaries
of firemen, the fire department now known as the Bethesda
Fire Department, Inc., within the said certain area herein
definitely defined; also providing for the manner in which
the number of cents on each $100. 00 of the assessable value
of the real and personal property within said certain de-
fined area to be levied each year may be determined, and
authorizing the tax collecting authorities for said County to
pay over to the Treasurer of the said Bethesda Fire De-
partment, Inc., its successor or successors, the tax so levied
and collected for disbursements for the said purposes of
establishing, maintaining and operating the said fire de-
partment in said area.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That for the purpose of providing funds with
which to establish, maintain and operate a fire department
within the area in Bethesda District in said Montgomery
County, particularly designated and described, and lying and
being within the bounds, courses and distances, as follows,
to wit: Beginning at a point on the Western boundary line
of the District of Columbia where the said boundary line and
the center line of the public road known as the River Road
intersect, and running thence Northwesterly along the center
line of said River Road to a stream of water known as Cabin
John Run, otherwise known as Cabin John Creek; thence
Northerly along said Cabin John Run and the West boundary
line of the Seventh Election District of said Montgomery
County to the center line of a public road known as the Orn-
dorf Mill Road; thence Easterly along the center line of said
Orndorf Mill Road to and crossing the public road known as
the Old Georgetown Road to the East line thereof; thence
Southerly along the East line of said Old Georgetown Road
to the Southwest corner of that certain tract of 125. 55 acres
of land designated and described in deed recorded among
the Land Records for said County in Liber J. G. H. 2, folio
59, known as the property of H. T. Newcomb; thence East
along the North line of a public road known as Grosvenor's
Lane to the center line of the public road known as the
Georgetown and Rockville Pike; thence Northerly along the
center line of said Georgetown and Rockville Pike to the
center line of a public road known as the Garrett Park Road;
thence Easterly along the center line of said Garrett Park
