SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land that a new additional section be added to the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Frederick County"
sub-title "Frederick, " as codified in the code of Public Local
Laws prepared by Edward S. Delaplaine, Esq., relating to
the collection of taxes in Frederick City, to be known as Sec-
tion 253A, to follow Section 253, and to read as follows:

253A. Before the first day of February in each year the
City Register and Collector of Taxes shall mail to each de-
linquent taxpayer a statement of the amount due, which state-
ment shall contain a provision that if the taxes are not paid
within thirty days he will proceed to collect the same by dis-
tress or execution to be levied on the property assessed, or
by suit at law, and that he will publish the names of all de-
linquent taxpayers on or immediately after the 10th day of
March following. In the event any such delinquent has not
paid said taxes by the said tenth day of March said City
Register and Collector of Taxes shall publish in some news-
paper, published in Frederick County, the name of every such
delinquent, the amount due and a brief description of the
property assessed as the same appears on the records in his
office, once a week for two successive weeks and the cost of such
publication shall be added to the amount due by any such
delinquent. In the event said taxes and costs are not paid
by the fifth day of April following then the City Register and
Collector of Taxes shall proceed to collect the same either by
distress or by suit at law.

CHAPTER 221.

AN ACT to authorize, empower and require the County Com-
missioners of Dorchester County to issue coupon bonds on
the credit of Dorchester County to the amount of two hun-
dred thousand dollars for the: erection of a public school
building in the town of Cambridge, in said county, and pur-
chasing a site for same, and for repairing and enlarging ex-
isting school buildings in said town; and for the purpose of
either erecting a new public school building and purchasing
a site for the same in or near the town of Hurlock, in said
county, or of enlarging and making additions to the exist-
ing building in said town; and for renovating, furnishing
and equipping such buildings; to appoint committee to con-
