Section 2-A. The Commission shall have full power and
authority to make joint investigations, hold joint hearings,
and issue joint or concurrent orders in conjunction or concur-
rence with any official board or commission of any state or of
the United States, whether in the holding of such investiga-
tions or hearings or in the making of such orders the Commis-
sion shall function under agreements or compacts between
states, or under the concurrent power of states to regulate in-
terstate commerce, or as an agency of the Federal Government,
or otherwise.

CHAPTER 197
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section
776-D of Article 4 of the Public Local Laws of Maryland
(Revised Edition of 1915), title "City of Baltimore, " sub-
title "Special Fund, "providing that the widow of a police-
man killed in the discharge of duty shall receive an annual
allowance until re-marriage equal to the pension which said
policeman would have received if retired.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 776D of Article 4 of the Public Local Laws
of Maryland (Revised Edition of 1915), title "City of Balti-
more, " sub-title "Special Fund, " be and it is hereby repealed
and re-enact with amendments, to read as follows:
776-D. The Police Commissioner shall pay to the widow of
any member of said police force within the limits of said city
who shall have been killed while in the actual performance of
of duty, or shall have died in consequence of injuries received
while in the discharge of duty an allowance until she remarries,
equal to the sum which her husband would have received, had
lie been retired, under Section 777-1. If there be no widow, but
a child or children, then he shall pay to such child or children
whilst under the age of eighteen years, a sum such as parent
would have been entitled to out of said special fund under
said Section 777-1.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1927.
