of Denton and shall be collected at the same time and in like
manner as other taxes levied in said town are collected; and
that upon the redemption of all of said bonds and the payment
of the interest thereon as aforesaid, then this special tax herein
provided for shall cease.
SEC. 6. And be it further enacted, That all the provisions
of the Charter of Denton or any amendments thereto contrary
to the intent and purpose of this Act are hereby repealed for
the purposes of this Act in so far as they are inconsistent
herewith.
SEC. 7. And be it further enacted. That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency law, and necessary for the imme-
diate preservation of the public safety, and being passed upon
a yea and nay vote, supported by three-fifths of all members
elected to each of the two Houses of the General Assembly,
the same shall take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 182.
AN ACT to authorize the Police Commissioner of Baltimore
to reinstate Walter H. Stapf as a member of the Baltimore
Police Department.

CHAPTER 183.
AN ACT to add a new section to Article 4 of the Code of Pub-
lic Local Laws of Maryland (Revised Edition of 1915), title
"City of Baltimore, " sub-title "Special Fund, " said new
section to be known as Section 777-2, and to follow imme-
diately after Section 777-1 of said Article, providing that
in computing the pensions of police officers and other em-
ployees of the Police Department of the City of Baltimore,
sums paid as bonuses are to be included in the salary of said
employees.
