And the Mayor and Council of Brunswick may, in their dis-
cretion, issue serial bonds, which shall be redeemable, fall due or
mature in series or in installments; and all bonds issued in pur-
suance of this Act shall be exempt from State, county and mu-
nicipal taxes.

SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That at the regular mu-
nicipal election of the town of Brunswick, to be held in August,
1927, there shall be submitted to the qualified voters of said
town the question whether the street and improvement bonds
authorized by this Act shall be issued, and at such election the
ballots cast upon said question shall have the words '' For Street
Bond Issue" and "Against Street Bond Issue" printed thereon
and if a majority of the votes cast upon said question hall be
"For Street Bond Issue, " then the Mayor and Council of Brun-
swick shall proceed to execute the power vested in them by this
Act, but if a majority of the votes cast shall be "Against Street
Bond Issue, '' then this Act shall be void and of no effect.

SEC. 5. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1927.

CHAPTER 137.

AN ACT to repeal Chapter 26 of the Acts of 1920 of the Laws
of Maryland, entitled "An Act to authorize the Mayor and
Council of Easton to pave, curb, and otherwise improve the
streets, alleys and highways in the town of Easton, and to
provide for the payment of the same" and to re-enact the
same with amendments.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Chapter 26 of the Acts of 1920 of the Laws of
Maryland be, and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted
so as to read as follows:

SEC. 2. That the Mayor and Council of Easton be, and they
are hereby authorized and empowered to pave, curb and other-
wise improve the streets, alleys, highways and sidewalks of the
town of Easton, whenever by Ordinance they shall so provide.

SEC. 3. That to pay for such improvements the Mayor
and Council are hereby authorized and empowered to borrow,
