ly keep the records and accounts of the Court. The Deputy
clerk assigned to each of the several magistrates shall collect
and take charge of all fines, penalties, forfeitures, fees and
costs imposed by the Magistrate to whose court he is assigned,
and he shall account for all such moneys collected by him at
the close of the session each day to the Chief Clerk. The
latter shall account at least once a week to the Commissioner
of Motor Vehicles for all fines, forfeitures, penalties, fees and
costs collected by the Traffic Court. The Chief Clerk, before
entering upon the duties of his office, shall cause to be executed
and delivered to the State of Maryland a good and sufficient
bond with surety or surities to be approved by the Chief Judge
of the Supreme Bench of Baltimore City, in the penalty of
ten thousand dollars, conditioned to truly and faithfully dis-
charge, execute and perform all and singular the duties and
obligations of his office, and that he will account for and pay
over to the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles all fines, penal-
ties, forfeitures and costs for which he is bound to account
and pay over to the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles. And
each of the deputy clerks assigned to the sitting Magistrates,
before entering upon the duties of their office, shall execute
and deliver to the State of Maryland a good and sufficient
bond, with surety or sureties to be approved by the Chief Judge
of the Supreme Bench of Baltimore City, in the penalty of
five thousand dollars conditioned to truly and faithfully dis-
charge, execute and perform all and singular the duties and
obligations of their respective offices, and that they will ac-
count for and pay over to the Chief Clerk of the Traffic Court
all fines, penalties, forfeitures, fees and costs collected by them.
The several Magistrates assigned to the Traffic Court shall
not handle any funds of the Court and shall not be required
to give any other or additional bond than that 'required by
other Justices of the Peace under Section 624, Article 4 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland.
The Mayor and City Council shall provide suitable and
proper quarters for said Traffic Court in the station house
of the Central Police District of Baltimore City, or at such
other place as may be convenient and suitable, but in no event
shall said quarters or location of the Traffic Court be at a
greater distance than five city squares or blocks from the
Court House of Baltimore City.
The Governor shall also appoint, by and with the advice and
consent of the Senate, and if the Senate shall not be in session,
then the Governor shall appoint from the City of Baltimore
at large an additional Justice of the Peace, who shall be of
high moral character and a reputable member of the Bar of
the Supreme Bench of Baltimore City, who shall have been
