force of law. Any such rule or rules so prescribed may be
rescinded, changed or modified by the Court of Appeals or by
the General Assembly of Maryland. All courts shall take judi-
cial notice of such rules. This Act shall not be construed to
deprive Courts of Record of the Power to establish rules for
their government as provided in Section 1 of this Article sup-
plementary to and not in conflict with the rules prescribed by
the Court of Appeals. And provided further that nothing in
this section shall apply to the forms of process, writs, pleadings,
motions, practice or procedure in Criminal cases.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect on the first day of June 1927.

CHAPTER 685.
AN ACT to add three new sections to Article 63 of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1924 Edition), title "Mechanics'
Lien," to be known as Sections 37-A to 37-C, inclusive, and
to follow immediately after Section 37 of said Article, and
to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 38 of said
Article, providing for payment into court by owner or other
interested party, or the giving of bond with sureties, as a
means of discharging liens, and providing that liens shall
expire two years from the date of filing.

CHAPTER 686.
AN ACT to add an additional section to Article 23 of the
Annotated Code, title "Corporations," sub-title "Condemna-
tion of Property by Corporations," said additional section
to be known as Section 337A, and to authorize condemnation
by corporations engaged in the business of transmitting or
supplying gas.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That an additional section be and it is hereby added to
Article 23 of the Annotated Code, title ''Corporations," Sub-
