rated towns which impose a tax thereon shall not be assessed by
the County Commissioners; said Treasurer shall, before enter-
ing upon his duties of his office, execute to the State of Mary-
land, two bonds, with sureties to be approved by the County
Commissioners, one for fifteen hundred dollars, conditional for
the faithful collection and payment tu the State Treasurer of
all state taxes levied and placed in his hands for collection and
the faithful performance of all other duties devolving on him,
and another bond for twenty-five thousand dollars, conditional
for the proper collection and disbursement of all taxes levied
and placed in his hands for Kent County, and the faithful per-
formance of all other duties devolving upon him; said bonds to
be filed and recorded in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit
Court for said county.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1927.

CHAPTER 683.
AN ACT to legalize Article 4, Public Local Laws of Maryland,
title "Baltimore City," including the Baltimore City Charter,
compiled under the direction of Charles C. Wallace, Esq.,
City Solicitor, and to make it evidence of the law; and
authorizing the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore to have
the same printed in such numbers as they deem proper and
to sell the same.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Article 4, Public Local Laws of Maryland, title
"Baltimore City," (containing the Baltimore City Charter)
.-and all Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland of 1927,
relating to Baltimore City, compiled under the direction of
Charles C. Wallace, Esq., City Solicitor, and published by the
Mayor and City Council of Baltimore, be and the same is here-
by legalized and shall be deemed and taken in all the Courts
of this State, and by all the Justices of the Peace of this State,
and by all public officials of this State to be evidence of Article
4 of the Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Baltimore
City," including the Baltimore City Charter purporting to be
contained therein.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the Mayor and City
Council of Baltimore a municipal corporation, is authorized
