CHAPTER 101.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Chapter-
567 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland of
1914 and to provide for the payment by the County Com-
missioners of Allegany County, Maryland, to certain volun-
teer fire companies in Allegany County, Maryland, so long
as said fire companies remain incorporated bodies the sum of
Twenty-three hundred ($2, 300. 00) Dollars annually for
their benefit and for certain purposes, and to levy said
amount on the assessable property of said County, and to,
provide for the date on which said payment shall be made.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Chapter 567 of the Acts of the General Assem-
bly of Maryland of 1914 be and the same is hereby repealed,
and re-enacted so as to read as follows:

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the County Commissioners of Allegany County be
and they are hereby authorized, empowered and directed to pay
the sum of Twenty-three Hundred ($2, 300. 00) Dollars annual-
ly to the several volunteer fire companies so long as said fire
companies remain incorporated bodies, for their benefit, said
sum of money to be used by the respective fire companies for
the purchase, repair or maintenance of fire-fighting equipment
or for the repair, maintenance or upkeep of buildings used by
the respective fire companies.

Section 2. Be it further enacted, That said payment shall
be made on the first clay of September in each and every year
by the County Commissioners of Allegany County, and it shall
be distributed as follow: To the Chapel Hill Hose Company
No. 6, and the Cumberland Home Company No. 1, of Cum-
berland, Maryland, the sum of $150. 00 each; to the Frostburg
Fire Department, of Frostburg, Maryland, the sum of $450. 00;.
to the Good Will Fire Company, of Lonaconing, Maryland,
the sum of $450. 00; to the Potomac Fire Company No. 2, of
Westernport, Maryland, the sum of $350. 00; the Midland Fire
Department, of Midland, Maryland, the sum of $250. 00; to.
the Mount Savage Fire Department, of Mount Savage, Mary-
land, the sum of $250. 00; to the Volunteer Fire Company of
Barton, Barton, Maryland, the sum of $250. 00.
