SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That in the event said
bonds are issued the Mayor and Councilmen of Frostburg may
levy such a tax upon the assessable property within said city
as may be necessary to pay off said bonds when and as the
the same shall become due and payable, and to pay the interest
upon the bonds are hereby authorized.

SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That the bonds hereunder
authorized shall be issued in addition to and exclusive of the
seven per cent bonded indebtedness on the assessed valuation
of the property in the said City of Frostburg authorized by
Section 145 of Chapter 31 of the Acts of 1922 of the General
Assembly of Maryland.

SEC. 5. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the first day of June, 1927.

CHAPTER 639.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 405
of Staton's Code of Public Local Laws of Worcester County,
legalized by Chapter 304 of the Acts of the General Assem-
bly of Maryland of 1920, title "Snow Hill, " giving addi-
tional powers to the Mayor and Council of Snow Hill.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 405 of Staton's Code of Public Local Laws
of Worcester County, legalized by Chapter 304 of the Acts of
the General Assembly of Maryland of 1920, title "Snow Hill",
be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted with amend-
ments so as to read as follows:

405. The Mayor and Council shall have power to make such
by-laws and pass such ordinances, not contrary to law and in
conformity with this charter, as they may deem necessary for
the good government of the town and the inhabitants thereof;
to prevent, remove and abate all nuisances and obstructions
in or upon the streets, sidewalks, highways, lanes, alleys, drains,
waterways or rivers, or in or upon any lot, and to provide for
imposing a fine or fines upon any person or persons causing
or creating any such nuisance or obstructions; to grant per-
mits for and control and regulate the erection of all buildings,
specifying in all cases the material of which they shall foe built.
